Today okay, but you ah living inside one worse day dat neva even happen. Still early. Da light climbing up slow and nothing inside dis room wrong. Somewhere up ahead dea one day you already paying fo', and maybe da bill neva even goin come.

Da cool side of da pillow, left one hour ago. One faucet running until da water finally cold. Somebody car door, twice, den one engine, den quiet. Just da regular sounds of one morning dat not asking notting from you yet.

You been rehearsing one future so you can be ready fo' it, but da rehearsing itself da ting draining you out. Here how da mechanism work, and dis not one flaw in you: da body cannot tell da difference between one imagined danger and one real one, so every time you run it through you spending real stress on someting dat only maybe, full price, every single time. Most of wat you rehearsing neva even goin happen. Da little bit dat do happen, come to somebody already tired from all da practice, which da opposite of ready.

Ask yourself wat real preparation look like. Is one plan, written one time, fo' da ting you can actually name. Dat kine finite, take about ten minutes. Wat you been doing instead not preparation, is simulation, and simulation no have one stopping point, dat's why can eat up one whole week and leave notting behind. If dea one real step fo' take, take um and pau. If no mo' one real step, den da worry not readiness, is just one tax on one Tuesday you was suppose to enjoy.

So today, write one line about wat true right now. Not da forecast, not da branch where everyting go bad. Today, as is. Den tomorrow go back inside tomorrow, where it belong, fo' be handled by somebody who slept and who goin know more den you know right now.

Da day in front of you, really okay. You allowed fo' have um. Dat not being one optimist, dat just one accurate reading of one Friday morning.
