There's something you been half doing, been like that fo a while now. Not failing at um. Not finishing um neither. Morning come clear and da thing still sitting there, same condition like months back, waiting fo one decision that never really happen.
One folder you open and close. One calendar wit something recurring on top. Dat certain thickness of morning air before somebody open da window. Steam going sideways off one cup in da light.
Hedging feel like you keeping your options open but what um really do is make you pay fo two things and get neither one. Da reason simple: half effort make weak results, not enough fo encourage you, and weak results get read like proof da thing wasn't for you, so da hedge quietly make da very proof it was supposed to protect you from. Meanwhile da hours still get spent, full price. You not undecided about this. You already decided and you just not saying um, and from outside dat look da same as undecided, but from inside um nothing alike.
Think about what one clean ending would give you. Not failure, dat's what da hedge trying for dodge, but you get back da hours, get back da attention, and one less open loop taking its small tax off everything else. And if da honest answer is you do want um, den half is da one way guaranteed for not get you there, so da hedge not da safe choice, um da only choice wit one guaranteed bad outcome. Either direction beat da middle. Da middle is da only place that cannot pay you back.
So today, um go one way. Either um get one real slot in your week, written down, protected like um matters, or um end clean and kind and you tell whoever need telling. One sentence, either way, said today, at least to yourself, and out loud if somebody else involved.
Both answers good ones and either one would be one relief. Only da middle was costing you, and been doing dat quiet fo long enough now. Choose, and take your week back.
