Something made you flinch dis week and you wen move past um real quick. You know which one. Took about one second and you no go back to um since. Da room quiet dis morning and da flinch still dea if you go look, which is exactly da plan fo da next three minutes.

One laptop closed on da table. Light hitting da same corner of da wall it always hit every morning. Water moving inside one pipe somewhere up top. One pen without its cap, been sitting dea for days.

You been reading discomfort like one stop sign, but um more like one map. Hea why dat matters: da mind flinch da hardest at da tings dat carry da most information about you, so da size of da flinch show da size of what get protected. So da subject you skip in conversation, da message you no open, da number you no look at, dey not random. Dey one list of exactly wea da good work at, sorted by importance, made for free, and you been reading um like one list of places fo avoid.

Tink about what avoidance really give you. Um buy one quiet afternoon and um charge interest, cuz da ting no get smalla while you no deal wit um, um just stop being visible. And you already know dis from da otha side: every ting you wen avoid but eventually face wen turn out smalla than da avoidance made um seem, every single time, which is one pretty consistent result fo something dat keep surprising you. Da flinch not one warning about danger. Um one pointer, and um da most accurate one you got.

So today you name um and take da smallest piece possible. Open da message, look at da number, ask da question you been leaving out. Not da whole ting. Just da first inch of da ting you wen skip, done on purpose, before noon.

Um gon be smalla than um been pretending. Dey always is, and you neva once found da opposite. Go check um out.
